Removed the following text: "Journey East [1] - a travel & lifestyle magazine for northern Taiwan, with a special focus on Yilan County. Has good maps of Yilan County, Yilan City, Luodong and Jiaoxi - bilingual. --url appears to be inactive". The following link does not work: http://www.journeyeast.url.tw/ I have never heard of this magazine, so it may be old information. (WT-en) Btrejos 06:16, 6 January 2011 (EST)

Moving from Northern to Eastern Taiwan

[edit]

The Wikipedia article defines Yilan county to be on the "Northeastern Taiwan" as there is no administrative regions in Taiwan (the country is directly divided in counties). From the Wikivoyage point of view I think Yilan is in Eastern Taiwan and not Northern Taiwan. Locals describes Yilan on the "east coast". And it is also clear when you see the Wikivoyage Taiwan map compared to the Taiwan political division. For these reasons I decide to plunge and do all the necessary adjustments hoping that you'll agree. Freayd (talk) 03:30, 2 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

As a non-expert, I could see it being described as in northeastern Taiwan or on the east coast, but not "on the east north coast", which is what was in the article until I just changed that to "northeast coast". I don't care if it's described as "the northern part of the east coast" or just "the east coast" or "north coast" but "east north" is not a word order we use in English. Order of cities

[edit]

The normal order is: capital city first, then all others in alphabetical order. Is Yilan the capital or county seat of Yilan County? If so, it should go first and all other cities should be alphabetized. Ikan Kekek (talk) 01:15, 10 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
