Hm, I'm having trouble getting accented characters to appear successfully when viewed either in ASCII or Unicode. (I don't seem to have this problem over on Wikipedia; is character set differenly here?). Sorry, I havn't yet found where on the manual of style this is discussed; pointers? - We use Unicode; I believe Wikipedia uses ISO-8859-1. If you need to, try using HTML escapes rather than special characters. --(WT-en) Evan 18:52, 24 May 2004 (EDT)
Yucatan Peninsula[edit]
Just to advice Wikivoyage editors that Tabasco is not a state in the Yucatan Peninsula; therefore, I edited your article to help it have correct information. I will also correct a typing error "Peninsula". liilian
- Thanks! But this raises the question of what region of Mexico Tabasco should be included in. We currently have Mexico divided into:
- Baja California -- The western peninsula
- Northern Mexico -- The border states
- The Bajio -- historic states in traditional silver-mining region
- Central Mexico -- center, surrounding the capital city
- Pacific Coast -- tropical beaches on Mexico's southern coast
- Yucatan Peninsula -- Jungle and Mayan ruins
The other regions near Tabasco are "Pacific Coast" and "Central Mexico", and neither of them seems like a good description of Tabasco either. - (WT-en) Todd VerBeek 09:36, 26 July 2006 (EDT)
