This template should be used only on Talk pages. It is used to link to other pages that were merged into the article on whose talk page it appears. Those merged pages should be redirects, and their page histories contain vital information on who contributed to the content that has since been merged. (Normally, the target article's edit history should record when another page is merged into it, but sometimes that doesn't happen.)
