Trentino Province is in Italy.
Naturally, Italian is widely spoken. However, the alternate name for this region, Südtirol, might tip you off to an interesting truth: The other predominant local language is German. Many towns in the region are known by two different names.
Outside the bigger cities and towns, there are some interesting castles to be seen.
- Castello di Stenico. A solid 13th-century castle.
- Castel Beseno. Built in 12th century but significantly altered and enhanced later.
- Trekking in the Dolomites.
