Turangi is a town at the south end of Lake Taupo, in the Central North Island of New Zealand.

Situated on Highway 1, Turangi can be accessed by private car or bus.

- Trout fishing. Turangi is mostly famous for the Tongariro River, which runs through it. It provides excellent fishing all year round (but particularly during August-October) for rainbow (steelhead) and brown trout.
