I'm based in Wellington, New Zealand but enjoy travelling in Australia and India. I have been involved with wikipedia, see me here and am looking forward to contributing to wikivoyage.

My wife and I have been travelling around Australia on State Highway 1 over the last few years and have driven from Port Douglas in Queensland to Perth in Western Australia. We have also travelled on the Stuart Highway from Adelaide to Coober Pedy going north and from Darwin to Mataranka going south.

This winter we cheated a bit and travelled by air from Perth to Broome and from Broome to Kununurra. But did drive from Kununurra to Turkey Creek and back for a visit to Purnululu National Park. We have tried to see as much of the country as possible, returning to interesting places and trying alternative routes. Along the way we have experienced some of the best hotels in Sydney and Melbourne and some of the worst roadhouses on State Highway 1. Our various itineraries have highlights and lowlights. I hope we can share them.

In India we have experienced the tropical states of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. In the north we have travelled from Delhi to Rajasthan onto Agra and back to Delhi. Nobody can be unaffected by India. You either hate it and never go back or you become entranced. We are planning to return for a third visit and hope that we can pick up advice from the wikivoyage pages.
