JISHOU（吉首）Jishou City, abbreviated as "Ji", belongs to Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Hunan Province. It is the capital city of the autonomous prefecture and the central city of Wuling Mountain Area.

INTOURDUCE

It is located in the western part of Hunan Province and the southern part of Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, between 28°08′~28°29′ north latitude and 109°30′~110°04′ east longitude. It belongs to the subtropical humid monsoon climate zone, with a mild climate and distinct seasons, with a total area of 1094.67 square kilometers. By the end of 2023, the resident population of Jishou City was 432,400. As of June 2023, Jishou City has 6 streets, 5 towns and 1 township under its jurisdiction.The Municipal People's Government is located at No. 823, Building B, Municipal Building, Qianzhou New District.
