Boucherville
[edit]- 1 Place de l'Église Sainte-Famille (Square of the Holy Family Church), 560, boulevard Marie-Victorin (facing the St. Lawrence River). The Sainte-Famille Church, this Catholic cultural place, was built between 1801 and 1802. Made almost entirely of stone, it demonstrates the unique style of construction of the buildings that were used before. This square includes the church, the former convent, the presbytery and the monuments of Pierre Boucher, founder, and Jeanne Crevier, co-founder of Boucherville.
- 2 Maison Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine, 314, boul. A historic French-style house, built in 1766. Louis-Hippolyte La Fontaine was the first Canadian to become Premier of the United Province of Canada. In 1964 the house was moved from its original location to where it remains today.

- 4 Galerie Jean-Letarte, 536, boulevard Marie Victorin (in the café centre d’art). The mission of Galerie Jean-Letarte exhibits artistic works that pose a new reflection on art: especially the latest trends in evolving, conceptual and media art. This gallery also aims to democratize art through cultural mediation and to stimulate the curiosity of its visitors.

- Boucherville heritage circuit, culture-patrimoine@boucherville.ca. This walking tour in Old Boucherville will make you relive 350 years of history. This circuit covers in particular: place of the Sainte-Famille church, walk in the narrow streets of Vieux-Boucherville, the Parc De La Broquerie (vestique of La Broquerie, house called Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine, statue of Louis-Hippolyte La Fountain). Îles-de-Boucherville National Park

Located in the middle of the St. Lawrence River (though, closer to Boucherville than Montreal), this park has plenty of green space for taking walks and canoeing. The main islands are: Charron, Sainte-Marguerite, Saint-Jean, à Pinard, de la Commune, Grosbois, Dufault, Lafontaine and Grandes battures Tailhandier. The park has pedestrian bridges connecting each of the islands. Free.

- Snowshoes (Raquette à neige). In winter, the park offers snowshoeing on 17 km of trails: Île Sainte-Marguerite and Île aux Reasons. The four marked trails are: the Grand-Duc (1.5 km), the Petite-Rivière (2.5 km), the Grande-Rivière (4 km) and the Île aux Reasons (9 km). Snowshoe rental is only available by telephone reservation at 1-800-665-6527. Free.
Longueuil (CITY)
[edit]- 8 Co-Cathedral of Saint-Antoine-de-Padoue (Co-cathédrale Saint-Antoine-de-Padoue), 55 Rue Sainte Élizabeth (in Old Longueuil sector) (at the corner of rue Saint-Charles and chemin de Chambly), ☏ +1 450-674-1549. Open daily 08:30-17:15. Built 1885 to 1887 in new-Gothic style with stunning polychrome decoration everywhere. It has a stained-glass topped cupola supported by a metallic armature and a quincunx crossing plan with wide corner chapels. In the basement there is a small museum.

House built in 1750 in stone. It is the only house in Vieux-Longueuil built under the French regime to have retained its original appearance.
- 10 Museum of Women (Musée de la Femme), 2380 Boulevard Roland-Therrien, ☏ +1 450-748-1600. All visits are by reservation - call at least 48 hours in advance. A small museum in a 1950s bungalow. This museum was founded in 2007 and opened in 2008. The museum aims to raise public awareness about the contribution of women to the development of Quebec and Canada.
- 11 Théâtre de la Ville (City Theater), 150, rue De Gentilly Est, ☏ +1 450-670-1616. The Théâtre de la Ville has enabled many actors and directors to accomplish themselves in the performing arts. - 14 Quebec National Day (Fête nationale du Québec), boulevard Davis (au Parc de la Cité), ☏ +1 450-676-6650. Annually, the large-scale festivities of the National Day of Saint-Hubert take place in the Parc de la cité. Programming usually includes an outdoor stage musical performance and fireworks. This celebration takes place under the aegis of the non-profit organization "Fête Nationale de Saint-Hubert"
- 4 Parc Michel-Chartrand, 1895, rue Adoncour. This park has nearly 20 kilometers of bike paths, hiking trails, jogging (5 km loop) orcross-country skiing. Covering an area of 1,850,000 square meters, Michel-Chartrand Park is recognized as a regional park and is open to the public all year round. This park has a nature conservation area. A marsh has been developed by the city for nature observation. This park also has three artificial lakes, a sundial, a children's play area, two petanque courts, a rest area with picnic tables, a slope for sliding, an ice ring, community gardens, the La Riveraine trail of the Route verte. Lots of deer and a beautiful pond with ducks during the summer. The park's reception pavilion has a snack bar (Open Air Café), sanitary and first aid services, two rooms with fireplaces and an equipment rental shop. This pavilion hosts various group events: workshops, conferences. Free.
- 5 Parc Marie-Victorin, 81, Chemin de la Rive, ☏ +1 450-463-7311. Along the south shore of the St. Lawrence River with beautiful views on Montreal. Many kilometres of bike path and walking trails. Picnic area, children's play area. Free.
- 6 Parc de la Cité in Saint-Hubert, 6201, boulevard Davis, Saint-Hubert, QC, J3Y 8Y4, ☏ +1 450-463-7100, . Created in 1992, this 960,000 square meter nature park includes the Lac de la Cité (1.1 km long; artificial lake divided into three areas), the artificial hill, areas of peat bogs, wooded areas and the plain grassed. Main infrastructures: cycle path, hiking trail, children's playground (with water jets), training circuits around the lake, white calcite monument (for the world day for the eradication of extreme poverty), pavilion of reception, free parking, an arched bridge, a bridge overlooked by the 150th century terrace, an area to set up infrastructures during events (e.g. Quebec Day, winter carnival), etc. The pedestrian and bicycle paths around the lake stretch for 8.0 km to the Raymond-Lévesque library. Main activities: lake mountain slide, hill slide (Kimber Boulevard), cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, leisure activities in the pavilion's multidisciplinary room, etc. The path "La Montée du chemin de Chambly" of the Route Verte (bike path) is adjacent (south side) to the city park. A herd of about sixty geese lives from April to October in this park. The park has a reception pavilion (550 square meters) including sanitary and first aid services, the Cité café, a sports equipment rental shop and rest areas. The Archivolte sculpture designed by artist Claude Millette was erected in the fall of 2011 to evoke the 150th anniversary of Saint-Hubert; it is erected near the pavilion, on the terrace of the 150th. - 7 Réserve naturelle du Boisé-Du Tremblay (Boisé-Du Tremblay Nature Reserve) (Park located between chemin du Tremblay and chemin de la Savane; between boulevard Montarville and boulevard Béliveau), ☏ +1 450-463-7311, info@nature-action.qc.ca. A wildlife reserve, the Boisé du Tremblay, is partially in Le Vieux-Longueuil and partially in Boucherville. This 260 ha nature reserve is home to Western Chorus Frogs, rare amphibians. The management of the wooded area has been carried out by "Acquisition, gestion et mise en valeur des milieux naturels" (Acquisition, management and development of natural environments) (AGMEV), since 2007. This nature reserve has a hiking trail. Free.

Saint-Lambert
[edit]- 15 Saint-Lambert lock (L'écluse de Saint-Lambert). Open daily 08:30-17:15. The site has a lock observation platform. It makes it possible to observe the approach maneuvers of boats of all kinds, the opening of the lock gates, the change in water level, the exit of the boat, certain external activities on the boat, etc. The site also allows you to learn about the history of this first lock in the St. Lawrence Seaway.
- 16 Fireworks at La Ronde (Feux d'artifice à La Ronde), ☏ +1 450-. Every year between June and August, the La Ronde fireworks display takes place as part of L'International des Feux Loto-Québec. Each fireworks display is an explosive choreography of music and lights in the sky above the Jacques-Cartier bridge and Lac des Dauphins located on Île Ronde. Fireworks enthusiasts can admire them from the Seaway Park, accessible via Riverside Street.
- 17 Fête familiale annuelle de Saint-Lambert, Parc Lespérance. Every year since 2016, the Saint-Lambert family celebration takes place on a Saturday at the end of May to celebrate the arrival of the summer season. This festival includes various entertainment for young people: inflatable games, small farm, caricatures, airbrush tattoo, mascot, fun area, show, giant games, various activities, music... Participants can have a picnic on square.
- 8 Bike path on the seaway pier (Piste cyclable sur la jetée de la voie maritime) (Access is by car or bicycle via rue de l'Écluse, whose bridge spans the Canal de la Rive-Sud to reach the parking lot.), ☏ +1 450-671-6181. This bike path allows you to head towards Parc Jean-Drapeau or take the path on the St. Lawrence Seaway jetty, to the Sainte-Catherine lock. Free.

[edit]- 18 La Prairie-de-la-Magdeleine Historical Society (SHLM) (Société d'histoire de La Prairie-de-la-Magdeleine), 249 rue Sainte-Marie, ☏ +1 450-659-1393. Established in 1972, the La Prairie-de-la-Magdeleine Historical Society aims to preserve the distinctive historical character of Old La Prairie. His efforts led in 1975 to the creation of the historic district of Old La Prairie. This museum offers a program of activities which is posted on the website.
- 19 Roussillon Archaeology Museum (Musée archéologie de Roussillon), 214, rue Saint-Ignace. In 2022, the museum presents an Archaeology and Criminal Investigations exhibition. This exhibition informs visitors about the exciting work of bioarchaeologists in the investigation of ancient crimes. In addition, the museum presents a permanent exhibition through 5000 years of history of the region. The museum regularly presents various other thematic exhibitions.
- 20 Bassin-de-La Prairie Park (Parc du Bassin-de-La Prairie) (accessible by an exit from Route 132 West, up to Rue du Quai), ☏ +1 450-444-6700. Park along the South Shore Canal of the St. Lawrence Seaway. This park is connected to the riverside bike path and includes a small peninsula. In the summer season, this park is very popular with water sports enthusiasts.

Salaberry-de-Valleyfield (formerly, or AKA Beauharnois-Salaberry)

- 22 Valleyfield Regattas, 395 Victoria Street, ☏ +1 450-371-6144. Since 1938, the event has taken place every year at the beginning of July over a three-day period in the heart of the city on Bay Saint-Francois. The regatta is an international hydroplane boat race, where the hydroplanes (planes without wings) can achieve speeds of up to 225 km/h. Attracting over 130,000 visitors per year, it is a great weekend of thrilling hydroplane races, dinners, parties, outdoor concerts featuring renowned Quebec artists. It is capped off by a fireworks show.
- 23 Saint Cecilia Basilica-Cathedral (Basilique-Cathédrale Sainte Cécile), 19 de l'Église Street, ☏ +1 450-373-0674. Built in 1934, the Basilica-Cathedral is known as one of the most beautiful Gothic Revival buildings in North America. There are religious celebrations every day.
- 24 Coteau-du-Lac National Historic Site, 308 Chemin du Fleuve, Coteau-du-Lac (5 km from Valleyfield), ☏ +1 450-763-5631, toll-free: +1-888-773-8888. Late June to early Sep: daily 10:00-17:00. It features Canada’s first lock canal and the remains of a fort. With a history spanning 7,000 years, the site was a portage and encampment location used by First Nations people to avoid the rapids, a military fortification, and a canal that opened the way for commercial shipping. Free.
- 9 Parc Delpha Sauvé, 240 Victoria Street (in the centre of town, opposite the Desjardins pedestrian bridge). This bucolic park includes an outdoor aquatic complex, its beach in a natural environment, the Jacques-Cartier cross, the wharf of the Valleyfield kayak club, and a variety of major shows and cultural events.
- 10 Old canal marina in the city center (Marina du Vieux canal au centre-ville), 420 Victoria Street (dockside parking is in the harbour of the marina protected by a pier). The marina of the Old Canal has a capacity of 400 boats at the quay. Its bucolic bay opens onto the majestic Lake Saint-François which is crossed by the St. Lawrence River. Visitors can take advantage of the urban promenade along the Old Canal, its Delpha-Sauvé park, its shore cycle network, the commercial streets of the city center, gourmet restaurants as well as admire the old built and well-restored heritage. This marina also offers a boat launch and a pleasure craft rental service.
Vaudreuil-Soulanges

[edit]- 25 Hudson Village Theatre (Théâtre du village de Hudson), 28 Wharf Road (in the old Hudson train station, behind the Château du Lac), ☏ +1 450-458-5361. Most of his shows take place in the summer. It features a variety of travelling theatre companies as well as local productions. Occasionally, dedicated trains from Montreal take ticket holders directly to the theater for a performance.
- 26 Greenwood Centre For Living History, 254, rue Main, ☏ +1 450-458-5396, istory@greenwoodcentre.org. The Greenwood Living History Center preserves the legacy of Phoebe Nobbs Hyde, the last occupant of this multi-faceted house. Greenwood's complex history is told through numerous historical documents, paintings and ancient artifacts. Original museum visitors can visit this magnificent property and bucolic gardens. Various events are organized during the summer. This centre is administered by a non-profit organization.
- 11 Falcon Golf Club (Club de golf Falcon), 59, rue Cambridge, ☏ +1 450-458-1997. 18-hole public golf club. Score Golf Magazine ranked the Falcon as the best public course in the province of Quebec for its course design and layout for 2021.
9 Pointe-Fortune
[edit]- 27 Carillon Dam, 240 Rue du Barrage, Saint-André-d'Argenteuil (Dam located upstream from the village of Pointe-Fortune), ☏ +1 800 365-5229. This hydroelectric plant is the most powerful on the Ottawa River. It was erected near Long-Sault where Dollard des Ormeaux and his companions fought a battle against the Iroquois troops. The starting point for the guided tour is in Saint-André-d'Argenteuil, on the north shore of the Ottawa River. Free.
- 12 The Pointe eco-recreational trail (Le sentier éco récréatif de la Pointe), 275, Montée Inter-Provinciale (trail straddling Quebec and Ontario), ☏ +1 450-451-5178. 1.8 km trail offering six discovery stations along the trail.
10 Rigaud
[edit]- 28 Mont-Rigaud. This mountain is not particularly high, but covered in mixed forest, which means that the autumn leaves turn every colour in October. Bring bug repellant if you are going hiking in the forest, as there are mosquitoes and blackflies, especially in the spring and autumn.
- 29 St. Madeleine Church in Rigaud (Église Sainte-Madeleine de Rigaud), 4, rue Saint-Jean-Baptiste Est (opposite the Rigaud River, in the heart of the village of Rigaud), ☏ +1 450-451-5751. Catholic Church. Its old architecture with double bell tower with exterior stone walls has great heritage value. This church, which has more than 200 years of history, is endowed with numerous works of art, many statues, an impressive organ and two well-crafted bell towers.
- 30 Sanctuaire de Lourdes, 43 Rue de Lourdes, ☏ +1 450 451-4631. Catholics might light a candle at this outdoor, hundred-year-old shrine to Our Lady of Lourdes built into the mountain, which operates only in the summer. Non-Catholics might enjoy the "potato fields", a strange natural clearing of thousands of small boulders in an otherwise wooded area close to the shrine. The local legend of its origin are that a potato crop was turned to stone beause the farmer worked on Sundays. The old chapel near the summit of the mountain provides a great view of the Ottawa River valley.
- 31 Charlebois House (Maison Charlebois), 43 Rue de Lourdes (near the Clercs de St-Viateur cemetery). This two-storey wooden building was erected in 1840 and enlarged in 1905. The covered gallery surrounds the residence on three sides. This building is associated with several generations of Charlebois who lived there. This property is a heritage building.
- 32 Former Rigaud station (Ancienne gare de Rigaud), 15, rue Charlebois. This former Canadian Pacific station has served travellers since 1891, for intercity travel. Then, it was used for commuter trains on the Montreal/Dorion-Rigaud line in 1898 and 2010. The first station existed from 1891 to 1940; the current building was built in 1940. This station was very popular with pilgrims visiting the Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes sanctuary or students attending Bourget college. This building, now owned by the city of Rigaud, has been designated a "heritage railway station" since 1994. This railway line has become a pedestrian and bicycle path linking Rigaud to Vankleek Hill (in Ontario).
- 13 Arbraska Rigaud, 85, chemin Bourget, ☏ +1 877-886-5500. Tree-to-tree amusement park.
- 14 Mont Rigaud Ski and Mountain Bike Center (Centre de ski et vélos de montagne du Mont Rigaud), 321, des Érables, ☏ +1 450-451-0000. Ski and mountain bike centre. In winter, the centre offers a snow school and instructor training. Mont-Rigaud is not very high or challenging, but for skiing it may be an alternative to the faraway Laurentian or Appalachian mountains for those living to the west of Montreal. In the summer, and fall, hiking can be quite pleasant.
- 15 Mont Rigaud Climbing Walls (Parois d'escalade de Mont Rigaud), 85, chemin Bourget (next to the Mont Rigaud ski resort; use the parking lot of the ski resort to access the climbing walls). From May 1, until autumn, depending on the weather. A right of access must be paid by the climbers.

Heritage building (1796) in the middle of a park by the same name. It serves as the municipal arts and culture centre. - 35 Musée régional de Vaudreuil-Soulanges (English: Vaudreuil-Soulanges Regional Museum), 431 Saint-Charles, ☏ +1 450-455-2092. Former boys' school in Old Vaudreuil. It was built in 1859 and converted into a regional museum in 1955.
- 36 Maison Félix-Leclerc de Vaudreuil, 186 de l'Anse (House facing Lac des Deux-Montagnes), ☏ +1 450-514-2840. Former house of renowned Québec poet and songwriter Félix Leclerc.
- 37 Parc des Ancres, Pointe-des-Cascades (north of Parc St Pierre). A park containing many old anchors in the locality of a disused lock on the Canel de Soulanges with a light house. free.
- 16 Woohoo, 25 Boul de la cite des jeunes, ☏ +1 450-218-6699. Indoor playground; largest family entertainment centre in Canada and home to the largest play structure maze in all of North America.
