I have seen you made a number of edits to Baekdu Mountains article, some of which involve changing Korean name to Chinese or Manchu. Please note that Baekdu Mountains article covers the part of the mountains that lie on North Korean territory, and you might be looking for Changbaishan National Nature Reserve, the Chinese half of the mountain. – (WT-en) Vidimian 04:15, 12 July 2011 (EDT)

You're talking about the Mount Paektu, which lies in North Korea. The Changbai Mountains (which you called Baekdu Mountains) is not a single mountain, but a mountain range, majority of whom lies in Manchuria. --(WT-en) 虞海 05:08, 12 July 2011 (EDT)

But the thing is, the article you've been editing covers a North Korean region only, and not all of the mountain range. Nope, no mistake. Mount Paektu is a destination, while Baekdu Mountains is the region that includes it, among other destinations such as Myohyangsan (please see the map at North Korea#Regions—what I mean by "Baekdu Mountains" is only and only the region shown in purple there). We usually try to have regions with no gaps or overlaps through the regional hierarchy, and therefore I'd really, really like to avoid a region overlapping with both China and N. Korea (which have very different entry requirements and travel scenes from each other). As I said earlier, if you find the name "Baekdu Mountains" (or, "Changbai Mountains" for that matter) confusing, please propose a new name for that North Korean region either at Talk:Baekdu Mountains/Talk:Changbai Mountains or at Talk:North Korea#Regions, but, again, please keep in mind that what I request you to propose a name for is a North Korean region, not a mountain range spanning somewhere up in northeastern Asia. – (WT-en) Vidimian 14:07, 12 July 2011 (EDT)

On closer examination I see that you had redirected Baekdu Mountains. This completely wrecked the North Korean top level region structure. I have restored Baekdu Mountains as a top level region of North Korea. Please do not do anything like that again without first discussing it on the relevant article talk page.
