User talk:(WT-en) Alas
Hi Alas! Welcome to Wikivoyage. Thanks for your contributions to Aklan, Altavas and Philippines! Unfortunately, the Image:Altavas.jpg that you uploaded may need to be deleted as the website you took it from clearly asserts copyright. The Philippines locator map that you uploaded, though, is clear and useful. I also reformatted Aklan province so that it better fits our Manual of Style.
Don't let this nitpickery deter you from future contributions - they are always welcome!

New articles
[edit]It's great that you're creating all these new articles! One thing that would be very helpful is if you'd edit the text at the top of each one you create to explain where in the world it is. :) - (WT-en) Todd VerBeek 15:49, 4 June 2006 (EDT)
Image licensing
[edit]You've just uploaded another image that we're probably going to have to delete. I checked the source you cited for Image:Ph locator ncr.png, and it was licensed under the GFDL, not public domain, as you said. This is an important distinction, because the GFDL doesn't give Wikivoyage permission to copy images and make them part of our site, which is distributed under a different license. I'm sure this sounds like nitpicking, but to keep Wikivoyage legal, we need to be very careful about things like this. We can use this image (and others like it) if you can get the original creator to dual-license it under the CC-BY-SA license as well as GFDL. - (WT-en) Todd VerBeek 15:55, 4 June 2006 (EDT)
Images
[edit]I am sorry, but the images you are uploading by TheCoffee and Seav are only licensed under GDFL and NOT CC-by-SA. You can NOT change the license on the images. This must be done by the original author. I am afraid all of the images you have uploaded will need to be deleted unless you can get TheCoffee and Seav to change the license and dual license the images. You are waisting your time and others by uploading these images without getting the license change by the original author. They will all be deleted. -- (WT-en) Tom Holland (xltel) 11:27, 15 June 2006 (EDT)
Boracay Island
[edit]I've read the article, but I've never been there. If you think it should be a Destination of the Month article, not an Off the Beaten Path article, please tell everyone why on the discussion page. (WT-en) Gorilla Jones 19:27, 3 November 2007 (EDT)
