Hello, Amitac! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Project:Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub.

Thanks for your spelling, grammar and style edits. It's always good to have someone looking at those details! (WT-en) Shaund 22:24, 16 March 2009 (EDT)

Damascus

[edit]

Thanks for your work on Damascus, but some of your edits removed a good dozen restaurants and removed the Budget/Mid-range/Splurge split as well? I assume this was by accident, so I've restored them. (WT-en) Jpatokal 23:28, 20 March 2009 (EDT)

I'm not familiar with Damascus, but please don't delete otherwise complete listings just because they're missing some parts -- Googling up the missing bits should not be too hard. (WT-en) Jpatokal 22:06, 23 March 2009 (EDT)

Currency note

[edit]

Thanks for cleaning up Bali, but please use "US$" if you need to refer to dollars (cf. Project:Currency). "$5000 USD" is redundant... (WT-en) Jpatokal 22:10, 30 March 2009 (EDT)

British English

[edit]

Please don't waste your time "correcting" British English to American English, especially in places like Penang, where the local flavour of English is British, and do not "correct" Celsius, the global standard, into Fahrenheit. (You can add F° in parentheses if you wish though.) (WT-en) Jpatokal 22:31, 30 March 2009 (EDT)

Sections

[edit]

And please don't remove empty section headers either. Are you working for Offbeat Guides?! (WT-en) Jpatokal 22:42, 30 March 2009 (EDT)

Spell check on Bergen

[edit]

Hi, and thanks for doing a spell check on Bergen. However please do not correct the format on Norwegian telephone numbers, they are written on the form XX XX XX XX for numbers starting on 2,3, 5, 6 and 7, XXX XX XXX for numbers starting on 4, 8 and 9, XXX for numbers starting on 1 and XXXXX for numbers starting on 0. 153.110.130.140 10:09, 10 April 2009 (EDT)

And please do not change day names when listing opening hours from abbreviated form to full form, see Project:Time_and_date_formats. Furthermore, on Wikivoyage, we avoid using 12AM and 12PM, as this causes confusion. 153.110.130.140 10:14, 10 April 2009 (EDT)
