User talk:(WT-en) Andy2000
Hello!
Welcome to Wikivoyage. You can edit your preferences to change how the software works for you. Please take a second to look at our copyleft and policies and guidelines, but feel free to plunge forward and edit some pages. Scanning the Manual of style, especially the article templates, can give you a good idea of how we like articles formatted. If you're new to our wiki software, MediaWiki, look at the Wiki markup to get an idea of how to edit a page. If you need help, check out the help desk, and if you need some info not on there, post a message in the travellers' pub. (WT-en) Maj 21:08, 13 January 2007 (EST)
Reverts
[edit]Hi, I have reverted some of your edits because the sections you are removing are part of the style we use for articles. I suggest you review some of the links above in the welcome and get an idea of how we format articles. Thank you for you contributions, I am sure you can help with information in the articles. -- (WT-en) Tom Holland (xltel) 22:25, 20 January 2007 (EST)
Dubai
[edit]Hi, I had to rollback your edits to Dubai. Could you please explain your thinking on the talk page if you really think that all that content needs to be deleted? Thanks. (WT-en) Maj 22:38, 20 January 2007 (EST)
Egypt
[edit]Hi again, I had to do the same with Egypt. It would really help if you made a short note in the Summary field when you make an edit and explain on the talk page if you're doing something drastic. I'm sure you have a good reason, I just can't figure out what it is! (WT-en) Maj 22:53, 20 January 2007 (EST)
Copyvio
[edit]The information you added in Sari people section was copied from Wikipedia. We need original material and can not copy other peoples work, text, photos, images, etc. Please review the sections on copyleft and policies and guidelines. We take copyright very serious and can not copy work. Could you please visit all the articles you have edited and remove any work or images that you do not own. Thanks. -- (WT-en) Tom Holland (xltel) 19:25, 21 January 2007 (EST)
- Just to be clear the license on Wikipedia is GDFL and we have CC by SA 1.0 they are not compatible. That is why we can not use text from Wikipedia. Sorry, I was not very clear on that the first go around. Thanks. -- (WT-en) Tom Holland (xltel) 19:38, 21 January 2007 (EST)
Hi Andy - can you add a comment to Image:SARI.gif indicating where it came from (I assume it's from a web site) and a link or comment indicating that the image has been licensed under the CC-SA by its author? See Project:Copyleft for further details. Thanks! -- (WT-en) Ryan 20:54, 21 January 2007 (EST) I deleted the Pic.
Hi, please could you add the source of this picture aswell, it's just it really looks like it comes from a brochure and may be considered copyright violation --(WT-en) MiddleEastern 15:42, 5 March 2007 (EST)
