Hello Atelerix! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Project:Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. – (WT-en) cacahuate talk 19:04, 3 January 2008 (EST)

Azad Kashmir[edit]

Sorry to keep reverting your edits to the Kashmir pages, but this isn't the place to argue about politics... we try to keep it simple, to the point, and unloaded, please stop changing the text... if you really disagree, then at least try and talk about it at Talk:Azad Kashmir rather than continuing to insert changes that will be reverted shortly thereafter. Thanks! – (WT-en) cacahuate talk 19:04, 3 January 2008 (EST)

Wikivoyage policy on Political Disputes[edit]

Hi (WT-en) Atelerix. Wikivoyage has evolved a set of policies for dealing with political disputes and you should read up on that. The rough idea is that it does not make sense for a travel guide to get bogged down in political disputes, and so these disputes are best avoided - unless of course the dispute impacts directly on the experience of a traveler. You can read up on these policies at Project:Be fair. Of course, no one at Wikivoyage controls content but the community does have consensual policies and guidelines otherwise the site would not function. If you don't like the way the policy is being applied to Azad Kashmir you should try to build a consensus for your views. If you don't like the policy itself, you can discuss changes to the policy on the talk page for Project:Be fair. Hope this helps understanding where User:(WT-en) Cacahuate's comments are coming from and where my reverts and those of others are coming from!--(WT-en) Wandering 19:22, 7 January 2008 (EST)
