- Thought about it for a second and realized that as a Briton you may not know what "411" means. Here, in the States, 411 is the number you dial on the phone if you need information on a person's address or phone number. It's also known as "information" so we substitute "information" for "411 pronounced "four-one-one" sometimes. Ciao. - (WT-en) Sapphire 01:28, 6 May 2006 (EDT)
