User talk:(WT-en) Bodrogeni
Hello, Bodrogeni! Welcome to Wikivoyage.
To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Project:Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub.
Please don't add listings to country articles, and please read this before making any more contributions to wikivoyage. --(WT-en) Stefan (sertmann) Talk 14:35, 18 October 2009 (EDT)
HA! did you work hard on making that addition of a Transylvania hotel exactly 666 bytes? Laugh of the day, thank you! :) --(WT-en) Stefan (sertmann) Talk 15:18, 18 October 2009 (EDT)
- Dear Kate, nice hearing from you! I have nothing against your business, in fact it looks rather cozy on the home page. If you look over the Romania article again, you'll see that I deleted all listings, except the country stay organisation, which belongs on country level. But to make one thing perfectly clear - as this pisses me of as a unpaid volunteer, Wikivoyage never receives payment for any listing, ever! capice!?
- You created an article for the for Aiud which is where you are located nearest to, and I moved your listing there - per our policy. A listing should be in the nearest destination, and should only be listed once across the entire site - it's really not that complicated. --(WT-en) Stefan (sertmann) Talk 15:36, 18 October 2009 (EDT)
- There wasn't much irony in that actually, your Hotel does look nice, and can be listed here. But only once and that in Aiud which is the nearest city to your hotel as far as I can gather. It can be listed nowhere else. If you look around on any country or region page on Wikivoyage, you'll see there is no hotels listed anywhere, and if you do find one which we haven't discovered, you are free to delete it as they shouldn't be there.
- If a hotel is half way between two cities, one of them must be chosen. No hotel, restaurant, shop or bar can be listed on two different wikivoyage pages, only one. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask --(WT-en) Stefan (sertmann) Talk 16:47, 18 October 2009 (EDT)
