Hello Charles! Welcome to Wikivoyage. Please take a sec to look at our copyleft and policies and guidelines, but feel free to plunge forward and edit some pages. Scanning the Manual of style, especially the article templates, can give you a good idea of how we like articles formatted. If you need help, check out Project:Help, and if you need some info not on there, post a message in the travellers' pub.

Subpages, etc.

It's good to see that you're thinking about some additions. Some comments:

• Navajo Nation: An "Understand" section would be useful, I think, but even more useful would be to expand "See" and "Do." I have relatively little experience with Navajo Nation parks and hiking other than the national parks/monuments (plus one other trip that I probably shouldn't admit to...), so can contribute nothing informed on that count; and while I have a lot of experience with Crownpoint rug auctions, other, similar activities should probably be described if possible.
• Bandelier National Monument: By all means feel free to replace the photo; it was just the best I had available when I worked on the article, and I agree, the place deserves better. If you want to add content, go ahead, but please talk to me -- it is fair to say that I know more about the park than most people (my MIL wrote the standard guidebook and I've volunteered there for years).
• Jemez Mountains Hot Springs, Jemez Mountains Hiking, New Mexico Hiking, Northern New Mexico Hiking, etc.: I think these are too granular to have separate pages, but feel free to add content to Jemez Mountains, North Central (New Mexico), and New Mexico on these subjects.
• American Indian reservations: Might be an interesting topical page; check out the guidelines there before deciding. Personally, I would incline toward simply fleshing out existing articles that talk about American Indian/Native American stuff. You could start with the Native American life section of the North Central (New Mexico) guide, which could benefit from some "how-to" information.
• There are any number of "destination" articles in the area that could still stand to be written: something on the Española Valley to finish off the north-central regional structure, lots of resorts in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains (Red River, Eagle Nest, etc.), maybe Cuba (New Mexico) since it's a jumping-off point for various attractions.
