Please have a look at Wikivoyage's guidelines for hotel marketers. In particular, note that listings should have a usable description that describes the property, not it's location, so a description added to the Miami/South Beach article that says "Affordable beachfront accommodations in Miami Beach, FL" will not be sufficient. -- (WT-en) Ryan (talk) 11:32, 27 April 2011 (EDT)

Again, please have a look at the guidelines for hotel marketers. Your listings include price and proper address, which is great, but be sure that the description you use is about the hotel and not its location. Someone reading the Sarasota article doesn't need to be told that a hotel is in Sarasota; instead, use the description field to say whether the hotel has a pool, a gym, etc, and whether there is anything particularly noteworthy about it. If you have questions please ask them on this page. -- (WT-en) Ryan (talk) 10:50, 2 May 2011 (EDT)
To reiterate once more, a property description for a business such as the one you just added to the Pigeon Forge article that states "Cabins located in Pigeon Forge, TN" will almost always be reverted. -- (WT-en) Ryan (talk) 17:46, 3 May 2011 (EDT)
Thanks for reading these comments - in the future, if you notice a blinking red dot next to your user name at the top of the page it means someone has left you a new message. Wikivoyage has had ongoing problems with hotel chains and SEO companies spamming our site, so the guidelines for hotel listings made by such individuals are a bit higher than for other contributors. In general your contributions have been OK, but do keep in mind that this is a travel guide, so be sure that the description for any listing you add provides useful details to a traveler trying to choose between available offerings. -- (WT-en) Ryan (talk) 14:16, 9 May 2011 (EDT)
