Hello, Mostroman13! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Project:Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub.

Hope to see some good contributions to Ecuador in the future. --(WT-en) Stefan (sertmann) Talk 21:33, 6 April 2009 (EDT)

Images[edit]

Hey that's a nice picture, but would you please specify a source for it (where you got it). We can only allow images here that are compatible with our licensing, and it's necessary to state where you get images from when uploading. Also, for future reference, contributors are discouraged from uploading pictures directly here; upload them to Shared instead, so people from all language versions can use them. Thanks! --(WT-en) Peter Talk 02:49, 9 April 2009 (EDT)

Hello again Daniel, haven't heard back from you on this. Please make sure to specify sources for your images—if you don't, they will all be deleted in about one week. --(WT-en) Peter Talk 20:45, 17 April 2009 (EDT)
Make sure to go to the image page for every image you have uploaded ([1]), and write down where you got the image (who took it). Please also respond here. The rules for images are basically simple—you have permission from the owner or you don't. If your cousin has himself released his photos into the public domain, then we can keep those, but you will have to note this on each image page. --(WT-en) Peter Talk 14:48, 19 April 2009 (EDT)
The time is up on the deletion nomination, and I have now deleted your uploads. I'm sorry if this was frustrating for you, but it's a pretty simple fact that we cannot keep apparent copyright & licensing violations on site without proof of licensing (for legal reasons). In any rate, it's cool that you are interested in world travel and wikis at your age; hopefully in the future, when you are better able to understand our policies, you will return as a contributor. --(WT-en) Peter Talk 04:43, 12 May 2009 (EDT)
You should be able to leave a message for Peter now. (WT-en) Gorilla Jones 18:46, 12 May 2009 (EDT)
