Hello Nick! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

Just to explain what happened to your story on Jaipur, (WT-en) MAJ moved it to Talk:Jaipur so that it can be used as raw material for building out the Jaipur page. Please don't take it to mean that your contribution is unappreciated, it very much is! Thank you for helping us write our free travel guide.

Please take a sec to look at our copyleft and policies and guidelines, but feel free to plunge forward and edit some pages. You may find the tips for new contributors helpful, and scanning the Manual of style, especially the article templates, can give you a good idea of how we like articles formatted.

We've pretty much reached a consensus that one of the non-goals is the creation of a travelogue, so first person stories usually get moved off to talk pages where they can be mined for data. If you spend some time reading the guide this really makes a lot of sense, because what we are trying to do is create pages which a traveler can print off in an internet cafe somewhere and carry around to use as a guide. Stories are fun to read, but kind of hard to parse for info.

Anyhow, thanks again, and I hope you stay and keep contributing! -- (WT-en) Mark 05:16, 29 May 2004 (EDT)
