Hello Simone!

Welcome to Wikivoyage. Please take a sec to look at our copyleft and policies and guidelines, but feel free to plunge forward and edit some pages. Scanning the Manual of style, especially the article templates, can give you a good idea of how we like articles formatted. If you need help, check out Project:Help, and if you need some info not on there, post a message in the travellers' pub.

Thank you for contributing to Milan. -- (WT-en) Huttite 04:50, 14 Dec 2005 (EST)

isIn editing[edit]

Thanks for all the isIn editing you have been doing. This is one of the things I like to do on occasion also. I have noticed that some of the ones you are adding are at a higher level then it should be. What I mean is you may have added at the State or Country level and in fact the city is in a Region, County, or Providence at a lower level. Example would be Springfield (Illinois) where you added it under Illinois and it should be under the region Central Illinois Be sure you are adding them at the lowest level possible point. In some cases it is not even possible to a valid isIn as the country may not have the Regions set as yet. Again, thanks for all the work! -- (WT-en) Xltel 15:42, 8 Feb 2006 (EST)

Ok, i'll pay more attention on that. I'm sorry for the mistakes. -- (WT-en) Simone 16:09, 8 Feb 2006 (EST)
It's not a problem... Your help is most appreciated. Thanks! -- (WT-en) Xltel 16:29, 8 Feb 2006 (EST)

Thanks![edit]

Hi Simone! Just wanted to say thank you for all of your contributions and edits to Wikivoyage. All of your help and contributions are very much appreciated. Our rewards are few, but a thank you always helps. Thanks! -- (WT-en) Tom Holland (xltel) 09:02, 2 April 2006 (EDT)

You're welcome. I try to do my best in my spare time: it's funny and useful to practice writing in English language. :P (WT-en) Simone 19:07, 2 April 2006 (EDT)

it:[edit]

Hi, Simone! I wonder if you've seen that we have a new Italian Wikivoyage version. It might be interesting for you to look at! --(WT-en) Evan 09:04, 9 September 2006 (EDT)

Hi Evan! I forgot to respond you, I'm terribly sorry. I already have a user on it: and I've done some translation work on it too, but for now I'm quite dubious about the road it is taking. It seems to me that there's *really* a lot of chaos: unuseful pages about villages in the middle of nowhere, templates and content copied from Wikipedia without caring of copyrights, nobody caring about translating howtos or interested in making contributing easier for unregistered user, goals and non-goals substantially ignored. This issues need a serious discussion among users, but unfortunately I've been (and I'm going to be) really busy and I'm not able to start or keep alive this kind of discussions. So, for now, I suspended contributing to it: because I find quite unuseful modifying pieces of articles when there are entire pages that need to be rebuilt. I hope to have more spare time to dedicate to wikivoyage in the future. (WT-en) Simone 14:04, 25 September 2006 (EDT)

Quick question about Hotel listings in Milan[edit]

I have been editing the hotel listings for errors and consistency. I have left the parts in the address that appear to be zip codes. I am not sure the relation to the address and how important they are for travelers... As is customary on wikivoyage I have removed the city and country names from the addresses. I would like to also remove these "zip codes" but I want to make sure somebody with local knowledge agrees that they are not necessary. (WT-en) Carson 18:34, 18 June 2008 (EDT)
