Add topicWelcome. I bet you will do great.
Thanks :) Just let me know if I accidentally muck anything up. I'm currently living in Japan while teaching English so I'll be writing for anywhere I visit along the way. - Cass
Another Welcome
[edit]Hi Cass, I'd like to add another welcome. Welcome to Wikivoyage! Please don't worry about "mucking anything up" I'm sure you'll do great. Please let us know if you need any help. Meanwhile here's our boilerplate welcome message which contains a bunch of useful links about style and guidelines and stuff:
Hello! Welcome to Wikivoyage. Please take a second to look at our copyleft and policies and guidelines, but feel free to plunge forward and edit some pages. Scanning the Manual of style, especially the article templates, can give you a good idea of how we like articles formatted. If you need help, check out Project:Help, and if you need some info not on there, post a message in the travellers' pub.
If you are a Wikipedian, or have previously used Wikipedia, then you may notice some differences in the style of our articles. Some of the changes are:
- "Village Pump" -> travellers' pub
- "be bold" -> plunge forward
- "sandbox" -> graffiti wall
- "stub notes" -> Article status notes
- "External links" -> We do not use a separate external links section, but incorporate them into the text.
Once again, welcome and feel free to plunge forward and help Wikivoyage grow.
One little you might find useful is the signiature trick: ~~~~ expands automatically to your name and the date and time, like this: -- (WT-en) Mark 06:13, 26 Jan 2006 (EST)
Teaching English
[edit]I've been reviewing a lot of activity on Wikivoyage, this morning (EST) and happened across your username. I thought I'd suggest to you an article, which, would fit in your area of expertise - Teaching English. By looking over your user contributions it seems you've been away for quite a while so - welcome back! -- (WT-en) Andrew Haggard (Sapphire) 04:26, 3 June 2006 (EDT)
Czech addresses
[edit]I believe Czech addresses are written in this manner:
- Place, Street 334, Praha 12, Telephone, etc., etc.
