Hello! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page.

If you need help, check out Project:Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. (WT-en) cacahuate talk 04:49, 26 April 2007 (EDT)

If you want to link in text to a category (or another WT language version), you have to put a colon in front: Category:Example, fr:Paris. (WT-en) Jpatokal 13:32, 20 August 2007 (EDT)

??? I wasn't even aware I was doing that... can you tell me where you noticed it? (WT-en) WTDuck2 15:03, 20 August 2007 (EDT)
Oops, a little slow tonight... you mean on my user page. Just fixed them, thanks!! (WT-en) WTDuck2 15:11, 20 August 2007 (EDT)

Redirects

[edit]

...don't need a VFD: just replace the article content with "#REDIRECT Wherever". (WT-en) Jpatokal 22:07, 20 August 2007 (EDT)

Okay, noted.  :) Thanks again, and please keep telling me when I'm doing stuff wrong. (WT-en) WTDuck2 03:36, 21 August 2007 (EDT)

Just select the GFDL-and-CC-by-sa-all image when uploading, then add a note in the description that the CC license is the German version 2.0. (As far as I understand, the license is entirely identical in content, the uploader just wants to make the German text the authoritative one in court.) (WT-en) Jpatokal 00:41, 20 October 2007 (EDT)
