Hello Bob! Welcome to Wikivoyage. Thanks for plunging forward with so much work on Brussels so far. Brussels is one of my favorite places to visit and I'd love to see more.

I'm not sure you need too much help since the work you've done so far is really high quality, but just the same if you're going to continue working on Wikivoyage, you may find the tips for new contributors helpful.

You should also make sure you understand our copyleft and policies and guidelines. Scanning the Manual of style, especially the article templates, can give you a good idea of how we like articles formatted.

If you need help, check out Project:Help, and if you need some info not on there, post a message in the travellers' pub or on the talk page for the most appropriate article.

Thanks Mark, I've replied on your Talk page. -(WT-en) Wikibob | Talk 17:39, 2004 Sep 19 (EDT)
Cool. I'm glad you're here, and am looking forward to more about all of the towns you've mentioned on your page. -- (WT-en) Mark 17:55, 19 Sep 2004 (EDT)

Last/Next[edit]

Hey, just a little FYI, (I know you are just playing). I think the nav template for all of the arrondissements makes good sense, but last and next really don't. I mean, people don't usually actually follow a spiral path when visiting paris. ;) I figure you knew that already, but oh well, there it is anyhow. -- (WT-en) Mark 13:52, 14 Oct 2004 (EDT)

Navigation templates[edit]

Hi! I don't think I've had a chance to welcome you.

I'm kind of busy this weekend, but I noticed your work on navigation templates. I wanted to let you know that the rarity of these things on Wikivoyage derives more from conscious decision than from ignorance of the feature. I think I'm going to have to write up a Project:Templates manual of style guideline soon so we can work this out in one place rather than on a whole bunch of talk pages. Suffice it to say: I appreciate the effort, but I'm wary of the direction it's leading. --(WT-en) Evan 11:03, 16 Oct 2004 (EDT)

Thanks![edit]

Thanks for cleaning up some of the random links that appear in articles. It's next to impossible to keep up with the linkspam folks, so it's great to see people removing clear violators of the Project:External links policy. -- (WT-en) Ryan • (talk) • 12:41, 20 December 2008 (EST)

And a thanks from me too. (WT-en) Jpatokal 22:39, 23 December 2008 (EST)

Thanks[edit]

Hi Bob. Thanks for the advice considering the lack of information of the swiss quality hotels in zurich I wanted to introduce. Could you please let me know if it's all right adding the distance to the Hauptbahnhof and the price range of the single and double rooms? Is that enough to put them back in the article? Thanks & merry christmas217.193.142.58 04:51, 24 December 2008 (EST)

Yes, price range and distance should be enough, at least for me. Your changes to Ambassador à l'Opéra make it more useful. But "a few walking minutes away from the heart of Zurich." for the Rex Hotel needs to be something like "1.5 kilometres from Hauptbahnhof, 500 metres from the Opera" for example, and/or so many tram stops from XYZ. Also, I think that one is up a hill and not everyone will like walking it. Include things like non-smoking rooms, as that is important to some travelers, especially since there seems to be considerably more smoking in Switzerland than the UK or the USA.
