Image Copyrights

Hi, you're doing a great job! Could you please label your uploaded images with copyright information (see Project:Image policy#Copyright). This helps us to ensure that all images on Wikivoyage have been legally uploaded. You can just go to the image pages and hit 'edit' to add the information. Checkout Image:Mammoth Mountain.jpg for an example of how the copyright can be expressed if you took the picture yourself. -- (WT-en) Colin 22:54, 28 Dec 2004 (EST)

Articles

Before you create the article for Filiremos monastary, please ask yourself the question, How many accommodation places can a traveller choose between to stay there overnight? Image usage in articles

Please have a look at Project:Image_policy#Minimal_use_of_images. While your enthusiasim for writing articles is greatly welcome, please try and confine yourself to one, (at most two), image per article. For example: Rhodes has 4 images, the second two, of donkeys and town of Lindos would be better in the Lindos article. -- (WT-en) Huttite 19:31, 31 Dec 2004 (EST)

Thanks. Although I do not sympathise with the rationale behind this particular policy, I usually try not to post more than 2 images per article and I'm trying to use only images specifically illustrating the subject of the article. The pics of the donkeys etc. that you mention were not mine and I agree that although donkeys may be nice, they don't necessarily look very different in any particular location. Contractions

Bodies of water - Links to Rhine

I noticed that you linked Schaffhausen to Rhine. I assume that this is the river Rhine. Please read Project:Bodies of water before creating, or even inserting linking to a potential article about a river. Unless there is a very good reason for making the river a destination - i.e. can you sleep there - it would be better not to have the link. -- (WT-en) Huttite 07:10, 1 Jan 2005 (EST)

Baltic

I am not creating the mess with Baltic Sea and other Baltic articles, nor am I confusing Eastern/Northern Europe and the Baltics. I see the Baltic countries as a legitimate region in Europe. Quite how they are shoehorned into the larger articles of Eastern Europe, Central Europe and Northern Europe is something that has to be worked out. The Baltic is a body of water that touches on all those articles so should refer to all of them. I do not see it as a confusion but a clarification and a mutiplicity of views. The promugation of such alternative views appear to have been curtailed by the activities of a previous editor who has suppressed these articles before. In many respects I am undoing the activities of a revisionist historian and adding richness to the subject of Europe. -- (WT-en) Huttite 17:43, 5 Feb 2005 (EST)
