I reverted your change to the Balkans article, and please do not unilaterally change place names but do please feel free to argue your point at Talk:Transnistria. Be prepared to give evidence that your preferred name is used more often in English, because that's how articles on this site are named, per Wikivoyage:Naming conventions, and if the name you hate is the one most used in English, it stays, regardless of how terrible its history may be.
