Hello, welcome, and please read the page with guidelines on how to avoid what is considered touting on this site, and also welcome, business owners, in case that's relevant to you. The specific policy you've run afoul of is that hotels (holiday cottages, etc.) cannot be listed in more than one place on this site. Therefore, while your listing in Swansea has been kept, your listings in Swansea Bay and Gower Peninsula have been deleted.

Best,

Thanks for this and sorry about the multiple listings. I am new to this site and I was following the examples set by others. I saw that there was (and still is) at least one other entry under self catering that appears on the Gower Peninsula and Swansea pages and there was (and still is) a listing under Self Catering Accommodation Agencies that appears on the Swansea, Swansea Bay and Gower Peninsula pages. I know that there are a lot of entries to be vetted but it looks like these have slip through the net. I am more than happy to abide by the rules. I would prefer that my listing be on the Gower Peninsula page so I will insert it there and remove the entry from the Swansea page.

Thanks for your reply. Whenever you see examples of listings that violate site guidelines, please post about these violations on the talk pages for the appropriate articles, or in this case, you could just post the names of the agencies in violation on the bottom of my user talk page, and I'll take care of it. Agencies that can have entries under this site's apartment-listing policy can list only in the locality where their headquarters is located.
Small matter: On talk pages (only), it is customary to sign replies with ~~~~.
Thanks a lot, and all the best,

Thanks for your reply. As I wrote, I am new to this and was uncertain of how to reply to your message, Couldn't find any type of reply button so I took a chance and just edited my response into the mesage stream. Looks like this was the correct thing to do and I now appreciate how things work. Will do as you say with regard to the violations that I have seen. Thanks for the etiquette tip for signing off posts. ~~~~.

Thank you! Don't use the "nowiki" when signing, just the 4 tildes. :-) Ikan Kekek (talk) 20:28, 20 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
