Listing template format

[edit]

Hello, and thanks for your edits!

I notice that some of your listing templates have an unusual appearance in code. Are you using listing templates exclusively, or are you using some listing tags? I ask because listing tags were deprecated on this site some time ago.

All the best,

Hi Ikan, I thought I was doing it correctly; I copied from your link - but I must be making mistakes somewhere. Could you point out which ones look weird and what it should look like? Forliasa (talk) 06:41, 5 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

I guess it's just that the line breaks aren't in the usual places sometimes. Compare this with Wikivoyage:Listings#Examples. Ikan Kekek (talk) 06:55, 5 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
I see. I had copied from the examples (usually to a text editor), deleted all of the information from the example leaving just the empty parameter labels, and used that as a template to update the listings. In the copying and pasting back & forth, the line breaks may or may not have made it. As it didn't seem to make a difference in the front end (and as the Overview section doesn't include any mention of line breaks at all), I didn't think it mattered. I'll make sure to do that going forward. Forliasa (talk) 18:22, 5 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
