Hello, Mercy11! Thank you for contributing to Wikivoyage, but please note that one or more of your recent edits has been reverted as it appeared to be an attempt to use this site to advertise or promote a business or service. Wikivoyage is created by travellers for travellers, and while business owners and employees are welcome to contribute, use of this site for promotional purposes is not allowed.

If you feel that your edits were incorrectly identified as promotional, please read Wikivoyage's guidelines on identifying promotional edits. If, after reading that guideline, you still feel your edits were incorrectly removed, please use this talk page or the talk page of the article where your edit was removed to explain why your change was not promotional. Note that it is very important that you discuss your proposed change before re-adding it since repeated promotional edits can lead to a temporary block of your account's ability to edit Wikivoyage, and in serious cases the business in question may be blacklisted from Wikivoyage. @Ibaman: Thanks for writing me here, for welcoming me, and for sharing your concerns regarding my recent first edit. I have spent some time reviewing your links (thank you), so let me start by stating I don't own the business added, nor am I its employee (nor agent, etc.), nor do I profit in any manner from the addition. However, I would agree that in the rush to move on to some other chores, I may have overlooked the tone I used and the booking service aspects of the edit in question. That said, I reviewed the edit and reworded it taking into considerations the concerns you pointed out here and in your edit summary. I can't see any other violations remain but if you do, feel free to revert me, but be sure to let me know where you felt I still fell short, so I can review it once more and make any necessary additional corrections.
Thanks for taking edits made so seriously (perhaps for lack of a more precise term on my end!). An editor's motivation (and, especially, a new editor's) is an important underlying force in any worthwhile Wiki, and I have to deal with it quite frequently myself in the English WP. So I don't blame your reverting my edit, and hopeful this will be a lesson for me, should I decide to stick around, as to how to edit better in the future. If you care to, please feel free to review my edit history at the English WP. It may be particularly useful to check my contributions to the town in question in this edit (Ponce) and, in fact, my own reversal of THIS edit in particular, which mentions Isla Caribe Tours, and I suspect was made by personnel belonging to that company. Thank you for your concern and welcoming interest. Please head to my new edit and let me know how I did this second time around. Regards, Mercy11 (talk) 20:50, 5 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
  • Thanks for the reply. Please, do stick around. Acquaint yourself with our WV:Tour policy, and make some necessary adjustments on your listing to make it compliant; I should re-revert it; however, I believe in "gentleness creates gentleness" and rather ask you to do it. We have a more relaxed environment than Wikipedia, but we strive very hard to get rid of every spam, linguistic hype and toutism on sight. You sound like a potential user of quality. Enjoy our community. Happy editings Ibaman (talk) 23:15, 5 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
