Hello, TICKoper! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here.

PLEASE have a look at our Manual of style, how external links should be written and so on. I've reverted your recent edit to Koper. --ϒpsilon (talk) 10:35, 27 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there! Welcome back. Unfortunately, I had to undo your link on Koper, because Wikivoyage does not link to external guides, including restaurant guides etc. Restaurants have to be listed individually, with addresses and a quick description. Have a look at other cities, for example Bled#Eat or Ljubljana#Eat for examples. Feel free to add information directly to the article though, we're very thankful for that. If you have any questions, just ask! JuliasTravels (talk) 11:10, 3 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for contributing, but I repeat that you need to read the Wikivoyage:External links page, because you don't understand the nature of this site. It's not appropriate, for example, to link to another site for general information about Istrian cuisine, and the place where Istrian cuisine should be explained is Istria#Eat, not any guide for any Istrian town that someone wants to use as a vehicle to promote an external site - even one that's an official tourism site for a town. Linking to an external site for "panoramic views" of a town is also inappropriate - unless that site is Wikimedia Commons, which gets a single link per article, at the end of the article, which appears in the sidebar on the left side of the page.
All that said, I hope you read this, so that I didn't just waste my time. Again, your work is appreciated, but just like everyone else, you need to work within this site's policies and style.
I'd strongly suggest you also read WV:Welcome, tourism professionals, because it seems likely that you represent the Koper Tourism Bureau. We are always delighted to have tourism professionals volunteering their time here, but again, please do pay attention to the nature and policies of this site.
All the best,
