Hello The Eloquent Peasant! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page.

If you are a Wikipedian then you may notice some differences in policies and the style of our articles. These include:

It may also be very useful for you to check out Wikivoyage:Welcome, Wikipedians. If you need help, take a look at Wikivoyage:Help, or else post a message in the travellers' pub or on my talk page. Thanks for contributing!

Thanks very much to your updates in the Toa Baja article! Two style things to know about Wikivoyage: We don't use ref tags (those have to be deleted) and don't use inline links to Wikipedia articles the way you provided them, only as Wikidata in Wikivoyage:Listings templates.

Thanks again and carry on! Formatting and style issues can be dealt with later; the content is the most important thing.

All the best,

There is one more thing, and it's important: Whenever you copy content from a Wikipedia article, it's necessary and important to credit your source in an edit summary you type in the "Summary:" box below your edit screen. This is required by Wikipedia's Creative Commons Copyleft and this site's WV:Copyleft policy. But now that you have, I suggest you add this template to the article's talk page: {{wikipedia}}, and I also suggest you put the attractions into Wikivoyage:Listings templates, add basic location and contact information, and add descriptions in the "content" tab that make clear why a visitor would want to visit the attractions in question. Areas of cities

[edit]

Hi again, The Eloquent Peasant, and again thanks for your work! I don't think the exact number of square miles within city limits is very travel-relevant, but rather more encyclopedic and suited for Wikipedia. How many barrios a city is officially divided into might not be very important for a visitor to know, either, but I get the point that the barrio with most of the points of interest might be useful for a visitor to be able to name and recognize. @Ikan Kekek: THanks. I'll look around at more Wikivoyage articles to get a feel for what's involved. I think some of the articles may need to be deleted but some should remain, i.e. Orocovis is a favorite among tourists for its German bar. --The Eloquent Peasant (talk) 14:05, 27 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Edit needed

[edit]

Hi! Thanks so much for adding so much content! I wasn't sure which word you meant in this difference an unnamed road, perhaps?

All the best,

Ikan Kekek (talk) 05:15, 2 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Ikan Kekek: Your welcome. Thanks for noticing. Yep, there are lots of unnamed roads in the mountains of PR. --The Eloquent Peasant (talk) 12:08, 2 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
Ah, I see. If I had been sure that was the right word, I would have just edited it. Ikan Kekek (talk) 17:48, 2 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

El Yunque National Forest as a "See" listing

[edit]

Thanks as always for your great and extensive work!

I did want to discuss this with you, though. I feel like it's questionable to list a forest with its own article as a "See" listing in multiple articles. Would it be better placed as a link with a 1-liner listing in "Go next", or an optional "Nearby" section? Ikan Kekek (talk) 21:20, 9 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Please feel free to change it. :) Either in "Go Next" or "Nearby" is good. However, you see fit. I agree. Thank you! --The Eloquent Peasant (talk) 01:08, 10 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Ikan Kekek: Thanks for your feedback. I'll keep trying to add more listings to Puerto Rico towns and cities.--The Eloquent Peasant (talk) 01:18, 10 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
Great! I don't think I'll search for places where you listed El Yunque, though. :-) Ikan Kekek (talk) 02:02, 10 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
