Welcoming Myself

[edit]

Hello, Titodutta! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. --Titodutta (talk) 08:19, 28 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Topic in Travellers' pub

[edit]

Titodutta, thanks again for contacting me and explaining everything. I started a thread in the pub: Wikivoyage:Travellers' Pub#We have guests from India. Please encourage any of the students you're working with to ask questions in the Pub, or they can contact me (but I'll be asleep and then out for a good part of the day).

All the best,

Ikan Kekek (talk) 10:17, 26 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Wikivoyage and Wikipedia

[edit]

Also, if I may, please ask the students to read Wikivoyage:Welcome, Wikipedians. For example, we do not use references here, and "External links" sections are prohibited. Ikan Kekek (talk) 10:19, 26 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

[edit]

We also don't use inline links to Wikipedia. See Wikivoyage:Links to Wikipedia. And thanks for continuing to add content!

All the best,

Ikan Kekek (talk) 21:30, 31 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

No need to apologize; it's a natural thing to do if you don't know there's a policy against using them. Ikan Kekek (talk) 03:15, 1 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
