Hello, VisitGwangju! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here.

In case you are a tourism professional, it might be useful for you to also look at Welcome, tourism professionals.

Glad to have you aboard! If you have any questions, just ask the in a reply below, and I or someone else will answer.

All the best,

Gwangju districts

[edit]

Hello, and thanks again for adding content to the Gwangju guide! Two things: (1) Any time you copy anything from Wikipedia, both Wikipedia's Creative Commons Copyleft and Wikivoyage's copyleft policy require you to credit your source by typing something like "copied text from w:Gwangju" in an edit summary (you can type that in the "Summary" bar below your edit screen). (2) There has been no agreement to divide Gwangju into districts for the purpose of Wikivoyage readers. Wikivoyage does not automatically divide cities into districts, regardless of official boundaries. We do so only when there is so much content in a city article that it best serves the reader for it to be divided into different districts, and then we don't necessarily use the same districts as the official ones but discuss on the city article's talk page whether and if so, how to district the city.

For these reasons, I will revert your introduction of a Wikipedia-derived district section. I urge you, if you've been copying other information from Wikipedia, to either post a notice on Talk:Gwangju specifying which edits include information from Wikipedia or, better yet, to edit out the plagiarism or paraphrase and summarize it, giving credit to your source in an edit summary.

If you have any questions, please ask them below. Ikan Kekek (talk) 01:52, 12 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
