Vylkove (Ukrainian: Вилкове) is a town in Southern Ukraine.

Understand

[edit]

Vylkove is also called the Venice of Ukraine, although Venice of the poor would be more appropriate since the channels in the town are barely comparable with Venice and in late summer are so dry that you cannot even pass them by canoe, not to mention by boat. Nevertheless, the town boasts a welcoming climate and the opportunity to explore the picturesque and impressive Danube delta by boat or canoe.

One famous destination (by motorboat) is this 1 river mouth, which can be reach by canoe if you have 8 or 10 hr. You might even decide to camp here and return the next day. 25 hr rental for the boat should not exceed 500 грн. 50 грн per hr.
  • Danube Delta by motor boat. Many companies in Vylkove offer boat trips into the diverse eco system of the Danube Delta. It is a convenient and depending on the boat, sometimes very exiting trip. 400-500 грн per boat per hr.
