Wadesboro is a town in North Carolina. Named after Colonel Thomas Wade who co-founded the municipality, it is a down on its luck textile mill town, but it has an intriguing wildlife refuge. Probably what sets Wadesboro apart more than anything though is that it was used for the set of "The Color Purple", in addition to "Evil Dead 2".
Wadesboro is along Hwy 74 east of Charlotte, and Greyhound makes a stop at the sad little strip market at 2458 US Highway 74 E that hardly has a single business running.
