Morgaon Ganapati Mandir

Morgaon is a village in Purandar Taluka of Pune District in Western Maharashtra. It is famous for a Ganesh Temple which is one of the 8 Ashtavinayak temples.

Morgaon is famous for its Morya temple to Lord Ganesha. The temple is also an ancient & famous tourist place. It is nearly 20 minutes away from Jejuri Railway Station by road. Dassera, the festival in which a Palakhi of lord Ganesha travels through the boundaries of the entire Morgaon village, is a great tourist attraction. In every house of this village people prepare "Bhuinale" & "Hingan" which are some sort of firecrackers originally meant for Dassera event & not for sale.
