Marieville is a town of about 11,000 (2021) on the east of Montreal. It is a picturesque municipality with a great agricultural, commercial, industrial, institutional, and recreational tourism on the St. Lawrence plain. Marieville is in Rouville, Quebec.

- From Montréal (43 km, time: 32 min.Take the Samuel de Champlain bridge (east); Highway 10 (east); take Route 227 (north) to the village of Marieville.
- From Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu (22 km, time: 25 min). Take Route 133 (north) or Chemin des Patriotes which runs along the east bank of the Richelieu River; take Rang des Cinquante-Quatre (south-east); take Rang de la Savane (north); take Rang de la Petite Savane (to the east); take Rang du Ruisseau Barre (north); take rue Chambly to downtown Marieville.

Le Noctabule is the main local winter event. - 2 Quebec National Day (Fête nationale du Québec): , Parc de Sainte-Marie-de-Monnoir. Annually, June 24. Every year, the National Day is celebrated with a variety of activities for young and old. The event usually includes a music, entertainment and fireworks show. (date needs fixing)
- La Grande fête de l'Halloween (La Grande Fête de l'Halloween): . This Halloween party takes a different turn with each edition. People decorate their houses and have weird ghost costumes. Children go around the houses to collect treats. (date needs fixing)

Generally, about twenty exhibitors (artists, craftsmen and local agricultural producers) are installed in small houses to offer their local products. This Christmas market started in 2009. - 1 Saint-Mathias-sur-Richelieu A municipality with a rich built heritage. Thanks to the Richelieu River, its port was one of the busiest between Lake Champlain and the St. Lawrence River, serving local agricultural and forestry operations. In the 21st century, its economic vocation is centred on recreational tourism and agriculture. Its territory offers green plains because its territory is 96% agricultural.

- 5 Mont-Saint-Grégoire Municipality overlooked by the magnificent mountain of Mont Saint-Grégoire which includes hiking trails to reach the summit where the panorama on the plain of the Saint-Laurent is bucolic. The northwest side of the mountain is the sugar bush capital of Quebec and Canada. The dining rooms of the seven largest maple groves have a large capacity and offer various other attractions around maple products: catering service, maple products shop, horse-drawn carriage rides, mountain, children's play areas, and mini farm. Mont-Saint-Grégoire also has five orchards and agritourism.
- 6 Richelieu Crossed by Route 112, Highway 10 and Chemin des Patriotes, Richelieu has a heritage circuit describing the great history of the seigneury and the locality, as well as the built heritage. The building of the Oblates marked its history. Recreational tourism activities are intense on the river and the bike paths.
