Laem Yai Beach Bay and the northwest tip of Samui

Laem Yai is a beach on the very northwest tip of the island of Ko Samui. If you're looking for a quiet, beautiful beach on otherwise hectic Ko Samui, this is it! It is beautiful at any time of day, however it is particularly noted as a place to watch the sun set over the ocean.

Get in

[edit]

What makes this beach a hidden gem is the fact that it is relatively hard to find. You can use Google Maps for navigation, or follow these instructions:

  • From Nathon: Head 5 km north, then take a left just before the road rises steeply and turns east.
  • From Chaweng: Head west approximately 12 km along the northern ring road, take a right turn at the bottom of the hill when the road angles to the left.

Get around

[edit]

[edit]

Beautiful sunsets, shallow seas, and idyllic coconut palm-lined beaches await explorers.

Do

[edit]

There is a minimart nearby for snacks.
