Amesbury is a town in Massachusetts with a population of 17,000 (2020).

Merrimac is a town with a population of 7,000 (2020).

Understand

Formerly a farming and mill town, modern Amesbury is for the most part residential. It is one of two northernmost towns in Massachusetts, the other being neighboring Salisbury.

Get in

There are daily buses from Haverhill and from Salisbury via Newburyport. Buses stops at 1 Nicholas J. Costello Transportation Center, which is just a few hundred meters from Main street.
