You won't be surprised to hear that Chicago is the major point of entry, with lots of buses and trains between the city and the suburbs.

Metra commuter trains serve various parts of the Western Suburbs. The CTA 'L' also offers service to Oak Park from Chicago. Amtrak stops in La Grange and Naperville.

By plane

Plan to fly into either O'Hare International Airport or Midway Airport (both in Chicago).

The Brookfield Zoo in Brookfield.

Oak Park has lots of Frank Lloyd Wright buildings as well as an Ernest Hemingway museum.

There is a Frank Lloyd Wright house in Elmhurst, along with the historical museum.

The Lizzadro Rock Museum is in Oak Brook.
