Located on the second floor of the Michael and Kay Birk Hall of Science at Benedictine University. You must register and schedule an appointment ahead of time in order to visit. Free.

  • 1 Dragonfly Landing, 4704 Garfield Ave, +1-630-271-4100. 11AM-7PM daily. Dragonfly Landing is a family-friendly attraction and splash park located at PrairieWalk Pond. Open from Memorial Day to Labor Day each year, it features a splash pad with interactive water jets, giant colorful flowers that mist water, and a shelter with a living green roof. There are also nature-themed play structures such as a tree house, leaping lily pads, and cat tail swingers. Free.
  • PrairieWalk Pond, Burlington Ave & Garfield Ave, +1-630-271-4100. A 4.5 acre recreation area in Downtown Lisle. Next to the 2.5 acre pond are benches, picnic tables, rock outcrops, and a gazebo providing places to sit and watch the wildlife. In addition, there is a playground, grassy area good for picnicking, and a "take a book, leave a book" little library. During the summer months, from 8-11PM, the fountains, which help prevent algae and circulate water, turn different colors. With over 100 varieties of native prairie grasses, flowers, and trees, in addition to being certified as a Monarch Butterfly waystation, your camera will receive a fine workout here. Fishing is prohibited. Free.
  • 2 Sea Lion Aquatic Park (Sea Lion), 1825 Short St, +1-630-964-3410, . A great place to swim and have some fun. The aquatic park is outdoors, and have changing rooms/showers separated by gender. Lockers are available for a small fee.

  • 1 Lisle French Market (Between Burlington and Garfield Ave). Sa 8AM-1PM. Every Saturday, from May to October, the Lisle French Market is open for shoppers looking for locally grown produce, baked goods, artisan crafts, jewelry, and more. Vendors may change from week to week, ensuring that each trip will bring a new experience. Free parking in the parking lot.
