Als is an island a bit off the eastern coast of South Jutland of Denmark, at the western end of the Baltic sea.

- 2 Fynshav (Fynshav Havn). Fynshav on the eastern coast of Als has ferry connections to Bøjden on Funen and Søby on Ærø.
- 3 Søby (Søby Havn). has ferries to Fynshav
- 4 Hardeshøj. small ferry to Ballebro on the Jutland side of the strait
- 5 Ballebro. small ferry to Hardeshøj on the Als side of the strait
- 6 Sønderborg Airport (Sønderborg Lufthavn).

[edit]- Augustenborg Palace, east of Sønderborg, is a baroque 3-winged building from 1775, surrounded by a public park.

[edit]There is an extensive network of outdoor shelters and camping spots, which are mostly free to use for one or two nights. They are available for hikers and cyclists and usually require a reservation. Many of them can be found on the website udinaturen.dk
