Ambarawa

Ambarawa is a small town in the mountains south of Semarang, in Central Java province, Indonesia.

Ambarawa is like many towns in the highlands of Central Java that are cooler above the low lying north coast. It is known as the location of a historic railway and railway museum.

Ambarawa is a small hilly town located about 14 km from Salatiga, Central Java, on the crossroads between major towns and cities: Semarang--Magelang and Semarang -- Solo.

By train, car and bus. There is a large bus station around the intersection connecting the Semarang-Solo road to Ambarawa - Magelang road.
