  • 1 Arezzo — a medieval city with a 16th-century fortress and a Roman amphithetre
  • 2 Bibbiena
  • 3 Castiglion Fiorentino — beautiful medieval walls, beautiful churches, art treasures and numerous Renaissance structures
  • 4 Cavriglia
  • 5 Cortona — founded by the Etruscans, who called it Curtun in their language. The city was also important during Roman times.
  • 6 Lucignano — a well-preserved medieval hill town
  • 7 Montevarchi — including San Giovanni Valdarno and Terranuova Bracciolini, its has an oval-shaped medieval centre and several museums
  • 8 Poppi — home to the 12th-century Poppi Castle
  • 9 Pergine Valdarno — a destination for pilgrims and devotees to the image of Mary
  • 10 Stia — its church has a well-preserved Romanesque interior that was built around 1150
