Capital Region
There is more than one place called Capital Region:
- Australian Capital Territory centered on the national capital Canberra.
- National Capital Region (Canada) - centered on the national capital Ottawa, mostly in Eastern Ontario but extending into Western Quebec.
- Edmonton Capital Region - the metro area surrounding the provincial capital of Edmonton, Alberta.
- Helsinki, together with the adjacent cities of Espoo, Vantaa and Kauniainen are known as the Capital Region in Finland.
- Capital Region (Nicaragua) - the area surrounding the national capital, Managua
- Capital Region (Maryland) - the region to the north of the national capital, Washington, D.C.
- Capital District - the region surrounding Albany, the capital of New York
