Fort Saskatchewan

Fort Saskatchewan is a city in Edmonton Capital Region.

Get in[edit]

Highway 16 east from Edmonton to highway 21 north to Fort Saskatchewan. Highway 15, known as Manning Freeway, also leads to the city. Edmonton Transit Service runs buses sporadically.

Get around[edit]

The city boasts many kilometers of bike and walking trails, with lush greenbelts following the river valley.


Fort Saskatchewan has a recently constructed (2014) Fort showing what the original 'Fort on the Saskatchewan' looked like circa 1875, a museum and the river valley paths. The downtown is well known for not having many shops, although a few stores are around.




Fort Saskatchewan has a number of highly rated restaurants.



Fort Saskatchewan is home to many hotels, with at least four with pools.
