Hannibal is a city in Missouri. It is located approximately 100 miles northwest of St. Louis and is located on the west bank of the Mississippi River.

Hannibal is best known as the boyhood home of author Samuel Longhorn Clemens, more commonly known as Mark Twain. Twain's The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Adventures of Huckleberry Finn are set in Hannibal. Many historical sites in the city revolve around Twain and his writings.
