  • 3 Cradock — home of the annual Fish River Canoe Marathon, a two-day, 80-km event
  • 4 Graaff-Reinet — renowned for its architectural heritage and has more national monuments than any other town in South Africa

  • 6 Nieu-Bethesda — a remote artistic community known for the "Owl House"
  • 7 Somerset East — produces some of the finest roses in the country, and is home to the Walter Battiss Art Gallery
