Lower Austria (German: Niederösterreich) — as the name implies — is a state of Austria.

Lower Austria is split into 4 regions each called a viertel (German for quarter).

Industrieviertel (Industrial Quarter) |
Mostviertel (Most Quarter) A hilly region with lots of beautiful countryside. Is especially pretty in mid April when trees bloom. Most is a form of cider that is grown here from pears and apples. |
