Newport is a city in Tennessee with a history of bootlegging and a bit of desperation to make it out of poverty in Appalachia. Though it went through a lot of ups and downs over the years, there aren't a whole lot of singular attractions to visit here.

  • 1 Bush's Visitor Center, 3901 US-411, Dandridge, +1 800 590 3797. M-Sa 9am-4pm. At this plant's visitor center, you can learn everything you wanted to know about Bush's baked beans.


If downtown, try the 1 Newport Riverwalk along the Pigeon River and admire the Newport cityscape that probably hasn't changed much over time.
