[edit]Traveling by matatu is the most common way reaching Nyahururu, they are plentiful but not very conformable. A trip from Nairobi should take four hours and cost around Ksh 700. The nearest major city, Nakuru, is about one hour away.
Kenya Railways operates a passenger service from Nairobi twice per week, while the journey takes 7½ hours it's a much more relaxing journey compared to a matatu.

- 1 Thomson's Falls. A 74 m (243 ft) waterfall on the Ewaso Ng'iro river situated 3 km (1.9 mi) from the town of Nyahururu, at 2,360 m (7,740 ft) elevation. In 1883 Joseph Thomson was the first European to reach Thomson Falls, and named them for his father.
